Allergies in dogs can be attributed to food



Allergy is different from intolerance to food. The former causes difficulties like hair loss, skin problems or other critical medical conditions, and the latter results in vomiting or diarrhea. Such information is required for dog owners.
On spotting an allergy, it is essential to square on whether it is caused by some other illness or food. This done, one has to find out the type of food or ingredient causing the allergy.
Although most symptoms of allergy are common, they can differ from one dog to the next depending on the type of food they eat. Generally, such allergy comes after the same type of food has been a part of the diet .
For at least two years. Some of the food allergy symptoms are:
  Appearance of hives or hot spots on the skin.
  Recurrence in skin infections  and ear .
  Excessive itching causing chewing of the tail paws feet and legs.
  Scratching of the skin excessively.
  Loss of hair, appearance of flaky and dry skin and sores.
  Persistent shaking of head or rubbing its face.
  Respiratory problems like coughing, seizures, wheezing or sneezing.
  Problems in the eye like swelling, discharge or irritation.

  Becoming hyperactive or aggressive.
Some of the foods affecting these allergies are diary product, wheat, yeast, meat, corn and egg. Antihistamine is prescribed for relief. But, prevention of allergens is continuously better than searching for a cure latter.
